Current Items Open for Public Comment (comment period)

  • The Act 2 Combination Report, which includes Volume 1 (Introduction), Volume 2 (Fate & Transport Remedial Investigation Report), and Volume 3 (Human Health Risk Assessment), was submitted to the PADEP/EPA on January 2, 2025.  The associated public comment period is 45 days.  Therefore, the reports are open for public comment through February 16, 2025. *NOTE: Reports will be uploaded to the Documents tab of this website by the end of the day on January 2nd.

Each Act 2 report submitted since the 2006 Notice of Intent to Remediate has included a 30-day public comment period and is available on this website on the Act 2 Documents page.  The comment period for previously approved reports (submitted up to and including 2017) was also re-opened in 2019 at the request of PADEP.  During the re-opened comment period (which extended from November 2019 to January 2021), the public was able to provide comments to individual documents and general questions about the remediation program.  At the end of the review period Evergreen compiled all comments/questions on the previously-submitted Act 2 reports into a document titled Public Comment Remedial Investigation Report (RIR) dated March 31, 2021.  The report was reviewed by PADEP and EPA and additional information was provided by Evergreen to the DEP/EPA on August 28, 2021.  The report was approved by the agencies on November 24, 2021.

The comment form below was activated on September 12, 2019 when public notices for the November 7, 2019 Public Information Session were printed in the newspapers.  The comment form below will remain open for future report comment periods and also submission of general comments.
